Job Description

Our client has a vacancy for a Trainee Finance Technician to cover a Maternity period.

Role Description:
– Carry out the month end accounting processes in line with agreed timescales and in line with regulatory requirements
– Monitor, reconcile and clear control accounts and specified balance sheet reconciliation’s, providing reasons for the outstanding items, and ensuring that outstanding items are resolved within the agreed timescales
– Assist with the implementation of new systems, upgrade of existing systems and assist with testing
– Review and recommend procedural changes and to maintain Procedures Manuals within the department
– Assist in projects and prepare ad hoc reports when required

Skills and Experience Required:
– Be CAT/AAT qualified or working towards similar qualification
– Have excellent attention to detail
– Be an excellent team player but also have the ability to work on your own initiative
