Job Description

A Senior Compliance Manager to required to provide Investment & Banking compliance services within an innovative financial services organisation.

Duties and responsibilities include:
– Providing technical and commercial interpretation of the application of the regulatory requirements as they relate to business activities;
– Be responsible for the implementation and continuous improvement of the relevant policies and operational procedures in accordance with relevant banking regulatory requirements and best practice;
– Ensure any changes to regulatory requirements are understood, communicated and implemented within the required timetable;
– Review and test the operational functionality of the Group’s Regulatory Framework;
– Test and monitor regulatory reporting as required by the IOMFSA
– Implement and continuously improve the Group’s Regulatory Registers and any additional records required by the IOMFSA guidance;
– Test and monitor client transactional files relating to the Group’s Banking Operations;
– Provide detailed updates / information to the banking committees as required;
– Provide support and guidance to the banking committees ensuring that all risks relating to the Group’s Operations (regulatory, legal and AML) are adequately managed;
– Advise and coordinate the implementation of any new rules, regulations and legislation relating to the Group’s Operations into everyday procedures and activities

Skills and Experience Required:
– 10+ years’ experience in an Investment / Banking Compliance environment, or similar role;
– Hold a relevant Compliance qualification;
– Significant experience across all Compliance, Regulatory and Legislative requirements; predominately from an Isle of Man, UK and EU perspective;
– Ability to identify possible concerns / objections and structure communication accordingly; conveying confidence when dealing with people at all levels, both internally and externally;
– Good knowledge of banking products and processes and industry best practice, particularly in the offshore market;
– Good understanding of restrictions upon marketing into sensitive territories;
– Experience of dealing with the IOMFSA and information expectations;
– Practical experience of translating regulation in to a working document understood by the business;
– Ability to write quality reports;
– Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to relate with all parts of the business, particularly Senior Management;
– Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
