Job Description

A Finance Operations Assistant is required to assist the Finance Department in driving forward the regulatory reporting obligations of the businesses. This role will report directly into the Treasury and Financial Operations Manager and become part of a professional team integral to the continued success of the Group.

Duties and Responsibilities:
– Process accurately inward/outward payments on behalf of customers and group companies
– Reconcile general ledger accounts to independent source, investigate differences and provide supporting documentation
– Remediate reconciliation differences and where appropriate suggest process changes
– Process accurately accounts payable & accounts receivable in line with business timetables
– Support activities to ensure compliance with Financial policies and procedures for operational efficiency and risk management
– Support servicing areas in addressing any inquiries and questions related to Financial Operations
– Ensure that the Financial Operational activities are executed and delivered as per the standard set out by the company
– Maintain financial control framework on all activities as agreed with Financial Operations & Treasury
– Assist in implementing audit recommendations (both from Internal and External Audit and Compliance if relevant)

Skills and Experience Required:
– 3+ years in a similar administrative role
– Detailed knowledge and understanding of finance operational processes supporting regulatory reporting for businesses
– Compliance and prevention of money laundering knowledge
– Compliance & Control Framework
– Excel user – intermediate to advanced
– You will be expected to hold a suitable qualification in Finance and/or operational processing or be studying towards one
– Self -motivated and able to motivate others
– Keen attention to detail
– Ability to work well under pressure and prioritise own workload in a fast-paced environment
– Able to operate independently and under supervision
– Strong verbal and written communication skills
– Strong time management & organisational skills
– Supportive of change initiatives
– Competent in Microsoft applications: Including Word, Outlook, SharePoint and Excel
– Strong experience with banking systems supporting payments both inward and outward for a financial service company
